Orders for the new version of the Chevrolet Camaro are now being taken, even though the new model doesn’t make its show room debut until late spring.

British fans can now indulge in the 21st century delights of the Chevrolet, with its soon-to-be released Camaro model.

Priced at £34,995 for the Coupe or £39,995 for the soft-top Convertible model, the new Camaro pairs the classic charm of the Chevrolet brand with high performance and also provides fantastic value for money.

In addition to its regular models the Chevrolet is also offering a 2012 45th anniversary Camaro for a limited time only. The model has a slick Carbon Flash Black finish with tailor-made red and silver anniversary stripes, dark silver 20-inch alloys, a bespoke 45th anniversary leather interior with red, white and blue stitching as well as a one-off white-backed instrument panel. This edition is priced at £36,495 for the Coupe or £41,495 for the Convertible.

All models come with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, but a six-speed automatic transmission is also on offer for an optional £1,500.

The Camaro is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine developing 420bhp (393bhp auto) and can go from 0-62mph in only 5.2 seconds for the manual Coupe and 5.6 seconds for the auto Convertible. All Camaros can reach top speeds of 155mph.

The Camaro has hydraulic, variable ratio rack & pinion steering and a large fuel capacity of 71.9 litres.

Customers who want to get their hands on a Camaro can order now, with the first cars arriving to dealerships in late spring.
