Toyota have announced full pricing details for its new look Aygo ahead of its UK sales launch on 1 July.
With a nod to the distinctive new front end for the popular city car it's a case of 'x marks the spot', with the three standard models in the range being christened the Aygo x, Aygo x-play, and Aygo x-pression. Two further special editions, the Aygo x-cite and the Aygo x-clusiv have also been announced.
The entry into the range comes in the form of the 3-door Aygo x, with an on-the-road price tag of £8,595, but a further £600 reduction is available with the benefit of a customer saving offer. That will buy you a car with, amongst other things, 14-inch alloys, electric windows, wireless door locks, USB connection, LED tracer and daytime running lights, driver, passenger, and curtain airbags, vehicle stability control, and hill-start assist.
Naturally, that list of equipment grows the further up the range you go, but Toyota are keen to press home the customisation packs available with the new Aygo. For example, the £165 INtense pack adds a body coloured instrument panel, centre console, and gear surround. The customisation packs will be fitted to the new Aygo in the UK at the Japanese carmaker's Derbyshire plant, minimising the delay in customer deliveries of bespoke models.
The 14-model range includes both 3 and 5-door models. The Aygo x-clusiv 3-door with x-shift automatic gearbox sits at the top-of-the-range at a cost of £12,395.
