British drivers will have much to celebrate this summer as the latest incarnation of the all-terrain Audi A6 prepares to enter British showrooms, bringing with it a number of benefits and savings.

The new A6 Avant Quattro will be available in a choice of four engines, each delivering high levels of performance alongside improved efficiency. In fact, this latest incarnation of the A6 is claimed to be 20% more efficient when it comes to fuel consumption.

Advanced systems, such as the car’s new electromechanical power, are claimed to drive this efficiency by ensuring there is ‘minimal energy consumption’ within the vehicles.

The car’s diverse range of engines mean there are plenty of options available for drivers looking for a tough all-terrain vehicle that boasts impressive levels of efficiency.

The 3.0 litre BiTDI engine delivers the strongest credentials with a maximum power output of 275 bhp and 479 lb-ft of torque, followed closely by the 3.0 litre TFSI which delivers 272 bhp of power and 325 lb-ft of torque.

The TDI options, whilst less powerful than those mentioned above, still offer a decent burst of power with either 215 bhp of power and 428 lb-ft of torque or 179 bhp of power and 332 lb-ft of torque.

Alongside these impressive performance credentials, the new vehicles also boast increased fuel efficiency whilst being as much as 70 kg lighter than previous models. Yet, efficiency and weight are not the only aspects to undergo improvements in the car either, with the styling also benefitting from a range of new features.

Stainless steel underbody guards, extended side sills and a protective front characterise the car’s exterior, with the interior benefitting from innovative systems such as cruise control and light and rain sensors as well as Audi specific technologies such as their parking system plus and drive select adaptive dynamics system.

The new range is priced between £43,150 and £49,445 depending on which model is selected and the first deliveries are expected to arrive in UK showrooms this July.
