Audi has given its A6 saloon and estate a mid-life refresh, aimed at keeping it competitive against the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class.
The main changes revolve around a new range of four-, six- and eight-cylinder engines, all of which are designed to bring lower emissions and improved fuel economy across the line-up, bringing the A6 in line with the new Euro 6 emissions standards.
There’s also a range of tweaked gearboxes, a range of styling tweaks and some new equipment options.
Two new ‘Ultra’ models have also been added to the range, featuring tweaked aerodynamics and weight-saving changes for greater fuel efficiency.
Audi is also making a range of driver assistance systems standard across the range, including adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, along with Audi side assist, active lane assist, night vision assistant and Audi’s Pre Sense collision avoidance system.
Prices are expected to stay at current levels, so expect the A6 saloon to start from just under £31,000 and for the estate to carry a premium of around £2,000.
The first cars will be delivered later this year.
