Kia has added two new models to its Soul range, both of which are on sale now through the Korean brand’s UK dealer network.
The Kia Soul is a front-wheel-drive, five-door crossover, developed after research from the manufacturer showed their customers like 4x4-style looks, driving position, and perceived safety, but not the higher running costs associated with all-wheel-drive models.
The ‘Mixx’ and ‘Maxx’ models mark the expansion of the all-new Kia Soul range, which was launched earlier this year replacing the first-generation of the compact crossover released in 2008. The ‘Mixx’ and ‘Maxx’ are differentiated from the three launch models in the range by the addition of 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and an urban styling pack. Standard equipment on both the Soul ‘Mixx’ and ‘Maxx’ include premium sound system, 8-inch touch-screen satellite navigation, leather interior, heated front seats and automatic air-conditioning.
The Kia Soul ‘Mixx’ has contrasting body and roof colours, roof coloured door mirrors and a reversing camera. Meanwhile, the Soul ‘Maxx’ includes a smart key entry system with engine stop/start button, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, front and rear parking sensors and panoramic sunroof.
Both the Soul ‘Mixx’ and the Soul ‘Maxx’ come with the choice of either Kia’s 1.6 GDi engine or the 1.6 CRDi motor. The Kia Soul ‘Mixx’, available as both a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox, starts from £18,150, while prices for the manual-only ‘Maxx’ starts from £19,950.
