Mitsubishi has announced the launch of an addition to its ASX compact crossover range.
The special edition Mitsubishi ASX Black is based on the current ASX4, and its styling kit includes black 17-inch alloy wheels, black roof, black spoiler, black mirrors, black grille, and black fog lamp bezels. Inside it has black leather upholstery with carbon fibre inserts. Standard features include Kenwood SatNav, reversing camera, iPod connectivity, stability control, traction control, power steering, regenerative braking, and power steering.
The new model has a choice of two engines, with a 115bhp 1.6-litre petrol, or a 147bhp 1.8-litre turbo diesel engine. The former comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the latter has a 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.8-litre diesel also gets the option of Mitsubishi's AWC electronically controlled 4x4 system.
At £21,099 the ASX Black entry level 1.6-litre 2WD manual is a thousand pounds more expensive than the standard ASX model. The new special edition ASX Black is available from today, and comes with a 3-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
