MINI have announced the introduction of the latest addition to their model range, the MINI Coupe.
The MINI Coupe comes with a choice of four engines, ranging from the 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre petrol engine in the MINI Cooper Coupe to the 211bhp power unit found in the MINI John Cooper Works Coupe model. Optimum fuel economy is found in the MINI Cooper SD Coupe, whose 4-cylinder 2.0-litre turbodiesel returns a combined 65.7mpg, but still produces 143bhp and 225lb-ft of torque.
Handling is aided by electric power steering, and stability control, and other standard features include an integral roof spoiler and active rear spoiler to maximise high speed airflow. MINI are also making a big deal of the Coupe's practicality, with the two-seater benefiting from a high-opening tailgate which helps to optimise boot capacity.
Pricing structure and launch date for the MINI Coupe have not been confirmed with the announcement, with this information to follow.
