MINI has opened the order books on its limited edition MINI Inspired by Goodwood model.
The limited edition model is priced at £41,000, and will make its public debut at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The MINI Inspired by Goodwood will have a production run of just 1,000 examples.
For the limited edition model, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars' design team were let loose on the MINI, resulting in an interior containing a dashboard, centre console, air vents, carpets, heated leather lounge seats, roof lining, doors and interior cladding finished in Rolls-Royce's exclusive Cornsilk colour. Meanwhile the dashboard and doorhandle surfaces are finished in Walnut Burr wood, the deep pile foot mats are made from lambswool, and the sun visors, rear storage tray, and ceiling are lined with cashmere.
Externally, the MINI Inspired by Goodwood is finished in Rolls-Royce Diamond Black metallic paint and it sits on 17-inch multi-spoke light alloy wheels. Under the bonnet is a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine from the new MINI Cooper S, which generates 184bhp.
Standard equipment includes xenon adaptive headlights, parking distance control, air conditioning, onboard computer, satellite navigation, and audio system with Harman Kardon hi-fi speakers.
With order books opening today, MINI has confirmed the first customer deliveries will begin in March 2012.
