Mercedes-Benz has launched a series of improvements for the 2013 C-Class range alongside a number of new models.
There are a host of new interior and exterior features available for the C-Class, including new exterior paint finishes, repositioned cruise control and indicator stalks and improved graphics on the touch screen.
Mercedes-Benz C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY
The C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY is now powered by a new 1.6-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine which delivers 154bhp and 184lb-ft of torque. This translates into a combined 47.9mpg in the estate and saloon models and 44.1mpg in the coupe, and while the saloon and estate manage sub-140g/km CO2 emissions, the Coupe emits 149g/km.
New trims
Executive SE is the new entry-level trim for the C 180, C200 CDI and C 220 CDI models and comes with a sports grille, 16-inch alloys, Artico upholstery and LED DRLs. For an extra £2,000, a luxury package can be added which replaces the old Elegance trim. This includes a three-louvre grille, 17-inch alloys, folding mirrors, chrome trim, ash wood dashboard trim and an automatically-dimming rear view mirror.
The Sport trim has also been replaced by two new variants -- the AMG Sport and the AMG Sport Plus. The AMG Sport model features 17-inch alloys and halogen headlights, while the AMG Sport Plus models come with 18-inch alloys, bi-Xenon headlights, an AMG boot spoiler, AMG sports seats, red seatbelts, adaptive high-beam headlights and Black Artico/Dinamica upholstery.
BIK
The enhancements for the new model help to make the C-Class more appealing for business users, and lower running costs will reduce BIK for business drivers by up to 4%.
How much does the new C-Class cost?
Prices for the new C-Class start at £25,915 for the saloon, £27,115 for the estate model and £30,090 for the Coupe.
