Mercedes has announced the price list for the new E63 AMG S Model, which is set to become the fastest E-Class ever offered in the UK.
Due to go into production next month, the E63 AMG S Model will be available as both a saloon and estate. Prices will start from £83,740 for the saloon and £85,530 for the estate -- just under £10,000 more than the standard E63 models.
Power is up by 28bhp to 577bhp and torque is up by to 59lb-ft to 590lb-ft, making the S Model the most powerful in the E-Class range. 0-62mph takes just 4.1 seconds in the saloon and 4.2 seconds in the estate -- a 0.1 second improvement over the standard car.
But despite the increase in power, fuel consumption figures remain the same to the standard E63 models, with the saloon returning 28.5mpg and CO2 emissions of 232g/km and estate models achieving 28.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 234g/km.
On the outside, the S Model features a number of exclusive design touches, including a high-gloss black front apron, side sill panels and a rear trim strip, a body-coloured AMG spoiler, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels in Titanium matte grey, red brake callipers and an 'S' badge on the bootlid.
Inside, black leather upholstery with contrasting grey stitching comes as standard, as do silver seatbelts, AMG emblems in the headrests. AMG door sills with white LED illumination, an AMG instrument cluster and 'S' model badges. Saloons also come with an electric rear roller blind.
