The Mercedes B-Class has been updated for 2015 with a range of styling tweaks, a revised interior and a new range of engines.
Although the new car doesn’t look drastically different to the current model, there are a number of minor visual changes. A new front bumper, grille, rear bumper and new headlights with integrated daytime-running lamps are the big changes. Inside, meanwhile, there’s a new, larger screen for the infotainment system and 12 new ambient lighting colours.
There’ll be a choice of nine powertrains: four petrols, four diesels and a fully-electric model. The most frugal of the liquid-powered cars will be the new B180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY diesel, which will return 78.5mpg and emit just 94g/km of CO2.
The new car will also be fitted with a range of new safety kit, including Merc’s autonomous braking package, ‘Collision Prevention Assist Plus’ and a drowsiness detector which now works between 37mph and 124mph.
Order books for the new Mercedes B-Class open today, with prices starting from £22,575 for the B180 petrol model.
