In 2010 Mazda offered the top of the range Takuya special editions, now they are set to return. The top of the range trim will be on the Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6, with total production limited to 3,894.
The five door 1.3 litre Takuya is based on the Tamura model and comes with a number of features, including rear electric windows, climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and fog lights. Priced at £11,940, it is £110 cheaper than the Tamura.
The 1.6 litre petrol version is the template for the Mazda3 Takuya. This top spec model has climate control, 17 inch alloy wheels, integrated Bluetooth and LED lights. The Mazda3 Takuya is available at £16,695. The TS model is £1,145 cheaper.
The best performer of the bunch is the Mazda6 Takuya, which comes with a choice between the 2.0 litre and 2.2 litre diesel. The five door is also available as an estate.
All the Takuya models are equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, half-leather heated seats, climate control and a six-disc CD changer, for an extra £1,050 more than the TS models. All models are now on sale.
