Lexus have confirmed prices and specification details for their new GS range.
Available to order now ahead of deliveries beginning in June, the new Lexus GS range will be available from £32,995 for the GS 250 SE, with a 206bhp 2.5-litre V6 Dual VVT-i petrol engine. The specification includes 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic bi-xenon headlamps and windscreen wipers, LED daytime running lights and a rear-view camera with parking guide monitor, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation functions. The electrically adjustable steering wheel also features paddle shifts. A 12-speaker audio system includes a CD player, DAB tuner, Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Both the GS 250 and full hybrid GS 450h, which starts at £44,995, also come in Luxury and F Sport trim levels. Luxury adds 18-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and satellite navigation system, as well as blind spot detection system integrated into the door mirrors.
F Sport models get 19-inch rims, a boot spoiler and sports-styled bumpers and grille, as well as bi-xenon headlights, and an adaptive variable suspension among a package of handling improvements. Inside, the F Sport trim has sports pedals and perforated leather-trimmed sports steering wheel and gear knob, in addition to extra adjustment functions for the driver's seat.
The range-topping GS 450h Premier has 18-inch alloy wheels and the bi-xenon headlamps from the F Sport models, as well as the F Sport's adaptive suspension and selectable drive modes. Its leather-upholstered seats have an 18-way electric adjustment and memory setting, and the climate control system divides three-ways between the front left and right and rear sections of the passenger cabin. A 12.3-inch central display screen allows access to the sat nav and audio systems, and other features of the model include automatic boot closing, rear window sunshades, and a tyre pressure warning system. The GS 450h Premier has a price tag of £50,995.
The SE and Luxury trim range has nine exterior colours available and, for the GS 450h only, there is an additional colour: Obsidian Black. The F Sport trim has its own range of colours with Arctic Pearl, Sonic Silver, Velvet Black, Mercury Grey and Crimson Red.
SE and Luxury models have gloss black dash inserts, with aluminium inserts used for the F Sport. The GS450h Premier has Walnut, Ebony or Bamboo wood trims depending on the shade of leather upholstery chosen from the range of six colours. Garnet red leather is an extra shade exclusive to F Sport models.
