Lexus has announced the release of the new RX 450h Advance hybrid SUV, with the new model costing the same £48,495 as its predecessor.
Designed to match its stablemare the RX 450h Luxury for specification, the new hybrid model benefits from the Lexus-bespoke audio package as standard, a package which includes over £1,000 of equipment including a Mark Levinson premium 7.1 surround sound system, Remote Touch audio and navigation control system, and Bluetooth for audio streaming and hands-free phone operation.
The package also includes a DVD player rear-view camera, while on the outside are 19-inch alloy wheels, integrated front fog lights incorporated into the front bumper, LED headlights with the Lexus I-AFS auto-adaptive system that moves the beam in line with the steering, and a choice of either a sunroof or a fixed panoramic roof. There is a choice of five paint finishes; Velvet Black, Arctic Pearl, Mercury Grey, Satin Silver, and Celestial Black. One the inside, ivory, light grey, black, and saddle tan leather are available, as well as an optional wood pack.
Other features include Smart Entry and Start, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated adjustable front seats, heated auto-dimming folding door mirrors, automatic windscreen wipers, power operated tailgate, and rear privacy glass.
The RX 450h Advance’s hybrid power comes from a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine combined with an electric motor, producing up to 295bhp and giving the car a sub-eight second 0-62mph time. The system gives a combined fuel economy of 44.8mpgm and CO2 emissions of 145g/km. Another electric motor on the rear axle can automatically apply all-wheel drive when conditions call for additional grip.
