Lexus has announced the pricing and specification details for its new IS, following the car's launch at last month's Detroit Motor Show.
Prices for the new IS start from £26,495 for the entry-level IS 250 SE model, rising to £38,495 for the current range-topper, the IS 300h Premier. The IS 250 is fitted with a 2.5-litre petrol engine, while the IS 300h gets a 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain and both engines are available in all trim specifications.
Four trim levels will be on offer with the new IS: SE, Luxury, F Sport and Premier. SE models get 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, automatic HID headlights, DAB and Bluetooth connectivity and a smart entry system.
Luxury trim adds 17-inch alloys, Park Assist and rain-sensing wipers, while F Sport spec adds 18-inch wheels, sport suspension with lateral damping system and a host of F Sport trinketry, including a mesh grille, aluminium sports pedals, leather trim on the steering wheel and gear lever and LFA-style instruments.
Top of the range Premier models get a different design of 18-inch alloys, automatic folding mirrors, power-assisted leather seats, a seven-inch touchscreen sat-nav system with a rear view camera and a hard disk drive, and a Mark Levinson sound system with 15 speakers and 5.1 surround sound.
Metallic paint can be specified across the range for £610 and buyers can choose to add a sunroof to Premier models for an extra £1,000.
The Lexus IS is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in mid-July.
