Kia have handed a fleet of vehicles over to help keep the World Cup running smoothly in Brazil.

A ceremony at Arena de Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil today saw the handover of  a fleet of official vehicles from Kia to help transport players, delegates and VIP visitors around Brazil during the World Cup competition.

Kia are an ‘Official Automotive Partner of FIFA’ and as such will provide 410 vehicles including their Sportage Crossover and Sorento SUV. They will even provide a roadside assistance team which will be available 24 hours a day to ensure the safety and convenience of the vehicle users.

“This year’s World Cup marks Kia’s consecutive participation as a sponsor of the world’s most popular global football competition,” said Soon-Nam Lee, Vice President of the Overseas Marketing Group, Kia Motors Corporation. “We are truly delighted to continue our active involvement in the tournament, as we believe football marketing is an integral part of our vision to elevate Kia’s global brand awareness to the next level and to ultimately become a formidable player on the global automotive stage.”

Running up to the opening of the competition, Kia will be executing several marketing programs which hope to promote interest in the event. This includes the ‘Kia Mascot Friends’ program which will see 42 kids from 25 countries have an opportunity to accompany the official mascots on to the pitch for high profile fixtures.
