Kia will put the all-new Rio - the fourth generation of the Korean firm's small hatch - on sale in the UK on 1st September.
The new Rio will be available to buy as a 3-door for the first time from early next year and Kia claims that the introduction of the new car means that they now have the newest product line-up of any manufacturer in Britain.
The Rio will come with a choice of four engines: a 1.25-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol, 1.1-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre diesel. The 1.1-litre diesel will be capable of tax-busting CO2 emissions of between 85 and 94g/km and combined economy ratings of between 78.5mpg and 88.3mpg. The 1.4-litre petrol, on the other hand, will develop 107bhp and get from 0-62mph in 11.1 seconds.
The Rio is available with four levels of trim: Base, '1', '2' and '3'. Standard features across the Rio range include daytime running lights, front electric windows, trip computer, CD player with MP3 and USB connectivity, and body coloured bumpers, door handles and wing mirrors. Top of the range '3' models get 17" alloys, privacy glass, automatic air-con, cruise control, automatic wipers and lights, and heated front seats.
All cars come with Kia's unmatched seven-year warranty.
Prices for the Rio will start at £10,595, rising to £14,895 for a top-of-the-range '3' 1.4-litre diesel.
