Kia has announced the pricing details for the upcoming Cee'd Sportswagon.
The Sportswagon arrives three months after the Cee'd hatchback went on sale, and replaces the old SW in the range.
Unlike the SW, the Sportswagon will be available with diesel engines only, and you get a choice of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre units.
The smaller of the two engines produces just 89bhp, gets from 0-62mph in a leisurely 13.4 seconds, and tops out at 106mph. On the plus side, it emits just 109g/km of CO2 and returns a combined 67.3mpg.
The 1.6, on the other hand, develops 126bhp, gets to 62mph in 10.8 seconds, and manages 64.2mpg. CO2 emissions are 116g/km.
The Cee'd Sportswagon is 15mm longer than the SW, and has a good-sized boot, offering 528-litres of space with the rear seats up and 1642-litres with the seats folded flat. On top of this, all Cee'ds comes with under-floor storage in the boot and a retractable luggage cover.
The Sportswagon is available in four levels of trim called, rather unimaginatively, '1', '2', '3', and '4'. There is also a range-topping '4 Tech' model.
'1' models come as standard with electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, air-con, steering wheel-mounted controls, daytime running lights, remote central locking, iPod compatible stereo with CD player, USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, six airbags and, on 1.6-litre models, alloy wheels.
'2' models add LED lights, chrome detailing, cruise control with speed limiter, a rear centre armrest and all-round electric windows.
Moving up the range, '3' models get privacy glass, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror, dual-zone air-con, seven-inch touchscreen sat-nav, and a colour reversing camera.
'4' models also get 17-inch alloys, leather seats, a heated steering wheel, electronic parking brake, start-stop, smart entry and an LCD HD display. Top-of-the-line '4Tech' models also get a panoramic windscreen, front parking sensors and a lane departure warning system.
The new Kia Cee'd Sportswagon goes on sale today with prices starting from £16,895 for the '1' 1.4-litre model, rising to £24,795 for the '4 Tech' 1.6.
