The Jaguar XF has won the title of 'Best Executive Car' in the Diesel Car Magazine Awards for the fourth time.

This year's Diesel Car Magazine Awards, judged by the editorial team at the magazine, have awarded the title of 'Best Executive Car' to the Jaguar XF for an impressive fourth time. The awards rate every diesel powered car on the UK market for comfort, refinement, style, efficiency and performance in a range of categories.

The Editor of Diesel Car Magazine Ian Robertson commented on the award:

"As a prestige car to please an executive owner, the XF has it all. You get a terrific driving experience in the XF, cosseted in a cabin that is as comfortable as it is clever."

Jaguar is hoping that the popularity of the XF will be further bolstered when it introduces a new model in September. The Jaguar 12MY XF will come with a frugal 2.2-litre engine which delivers fuel consumption of 52.3mpg with carbon dioxide emissions of 149g/km.

The award was accepted by Geoff Cousins, the Managing director of Jaguar UK, who said:

"I'm proud that the XF remains as competitive today as it was when it was launched through our programme of improvements to ensure the XF retains its position at the very top of its class. To win four times is remarkable and testament to our commitment to delivering ever more refined and efficient diesel engines as well as class-leading refinement and customer care."
