Hyundai has released the pricing and specification details for the new Veloster Turbo SE.
The Veloster goes up against the VW Scirocco and Vauxhall Astra GTC in the small coupe market.
To create the Veloster Turbo, Hyundai have taken the standard car's 1.6-litre direct-injection petrol engine and added a twin-scroll turbocharger. This means 184bhp and 195lb-ft of torque.
0-62mph takes 8.4 seconds and flat out the Veloster Turbo will hit 133mph. However, despite the improved performance, the Veloster should still be able to manage 40.9mpg and emits just 157g/km of carbon dioxide.
Hyundai have also been fiddling with the Veloster's dampers and claims to have improved body control as a result.
Visual changes to the Veloster include tweaked bumpers, a larger rear spoiler, 18-inch alloys and lower side sills. The interior has also been improved with news seats, an upgraded stereo and a 7-inch touchscreen sat-nav.
The Hyundai Veloster Turbo SE arrives in showrooms on 24th September and will cost from £21,995.
