Hyundai have moved up the rankings in this year’s Driver Power Survey, ranking two places higher than last year.

The 2011 Auto Express Driver Power Survey has ranked Hyundai as the fourth best car manufacturer, two places higher than the firm's sixth place finish last year.

More than 23,000 British drivers were asked to provide feedback on their cars for the 2011 Driver Power Survey by Auto Express. The Driver Power survey is considered by many people to be the definitive UK guide to the reliability and customer satisfaction levels offered by different cars and car makers. To rank highly in the manufacturer charts a company must have a full range of vehicles across every sector; a score is then calculated using the average ratings for every model in the company's range.

Commenting on the move up the rankings, Hyundai UK Managing Director Tony Whitehorn said:

"We are surprised and delighted to have moved up two places in the manufacturer chart. After a record breaking last two years in terms of sales, Hyundai has experienced an influx of new customers. These buyers have been surprised by the quality, reliability and performance of our cars."
