Hyundai has confirmed the pricing and specification details for the new i30 3 door, ahead of its arrival in showrooms next January.
The i30 3 door features a number of styling changes which differentiate it from the 5 door model, including a new front bumper and front spoiler, new front and rear fog lights, a new-look grille and a more aggressive rear end with LED taillights.
Despite having fewer doors than the standard hatchback, Hyundai claims that the i30 3 door has a 'remarkably spacious' interior. The boot holds 378-litres (1,316-litres with the rear seats down) and an easy-entry rear seat makes climbing into the back of the i30 3 door less difficult.
Four engines are on offer in the new i30 3 door, including a 1.4-litre petrol with 99bhp, a 1.6-litre petrol with 118bhp and two 1.6-litre diesels with either 108bhp or 126bhp.
The i30 is available in four levels of trim: Classic, Active, Sport and Sport Nav. Entry-level Classic models come with Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, LED daytime running-lights, body-coloured door handles, air-con and USB and auxiliary connections.
Moving up the range, Active models get 16-inch alloys, cruise control, rear parking sensors and a leather steering wheel and gear lever. Sport trim adds 17-inch alloys, LED taillights, part-leather seatsm dual-zone climate control, privacy glass and automatic wipers and lights.
Top-of-the-range Sport Nav models get a touchscreen sat-nav and a rear-view parking camera with Parking Guidance System.
Prices for the new i30 3 door start at £13,995 for a 1.4 Classic, rising to £19,900 for a top-of-the-range 1.6 diesel Sport Nav.
