New, revamped versions of every car in the Hyundai i10 range will go on sale from 1 March 2011.

The award winning i10 city car range from Hyundai is being given a comprehensive revamp, right across the whole range. The new cars, which will go on sale from 1st March, include the introduction of Hyundai's first sub 100g/km Blue model, as well as revised specifications and design updates for the rest of the range.

A range of new and improved Euro V compliant engines are being introduced for the new i10 cars. These include a completely new 1.0-litre 'Kappa' engine, which will replace the old 1.1-litre 'Epsilon' engine. This frugal three cylinder unit manages a combined cycle fuel economy figure of 67.3mpg. The old 1.25-litre 'Kappa' engine has also been given an upgrade, and now boasts 13% more power at 85bhp, 9.2% less CO2 emissions at 108g/km, and 8.7% lower fuel consumption at 61.4mpg.

The new i10 Blue model is a special environmentally friendly version of the i10, featuring Hyundai's Blue Drive technology. With CO2 emissions running at 99g/km, the i10 Blue is the first five seat car for under £10,000 to break the 100g/km barrier, making it exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty and the London Congestion Charge.

Including the 'Blue' model there are four trim levels in total for the new i10 cars. The other three are Classic, Active and Style. Standard equipment which is included with all of these includes air conditioning, iPod plug-in, four airbags, six speaker audio system, and central locking. The entry level Classic model will be priced at £8,195, and will come with a five year unlimited mile warranty, five years roadside assistance, and annual vehicle health checks for the first five years.
