Honda is set to release a special edition version of its Jazz supermini.

The Jazz Si is based on the 1.4 ES manual Jazz and has been given a host of cosmetic modifications including sporty front and rear bumpers and side skirts, privacy glass, 16-inch alloys, front fog lights and the obligatory Si badge on the boot lid.

Honda has also been fiddling with the Jazz's suspension and the Si has larger front anti-roll bars and revised steering which provides improved feel and response.

Inside, the Si gets a leather steering wheel, black and silver seats, and cruise control. The Si is also available in your choice of four different colours: Azure Blue, Crystal Black, White Orchid and Milano Red.

The Jazz Si is priced at £14,550 but for an extra £995, buyers have the choice of upgrading to the Si-T model which benefits from sat-nav and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Si is being built at Honda's Swindon plant and will arrive on dealers' forecourts from August.
