Honda has released a teaser sketch of its new Civic Type R Concept model, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The concept previews the next generation of Civic Type R, which will be launched early next year, and is described by Honda as a "racing car for the road."
It certainly lives up to this claim in the looks department, featuring flared wheel arches, sill extensions, a full-width rear diffuser housing twin dual exhausts and a huge rear wing with integrated LED brake lights.
The new Civic Type R will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. No power or performance figures have been released yet; however, we're expecting a power output somewhere in the region of 300bhp and a sub-6.0 second 0-62mph time.
We also know that despite the current trend for flappy-paddle semi-automatic gearboxes, the new Type R will get a six-speed manual box as standard.
The Geneva Motor Show begins on 6 March.
