Hyundai has today announced the full pricing, insurance group ratings, and specifications for the new i40 Saloon car.
The all-new Hyundai i40 Saloon with go on sale from 5th January 2012, and will cost from £17,395 OTR. The insurance group for the new car has been rated as 12E.
The three main trim levels which are currently available for the i40 Tourer will also be available on the i40 Saloon. These are called Active, Style and Premium. There is also a choice of two different engines, three power output levels and a choice of manual or automatic transmission.
For those looking to reduce running costs and environmental impact, Hyundai Blue Drive fuel efficiency technologies including an intelligent Stop & Go feature will be fitted as standard on all Active trim models, as well on the Style 1.7-litre CRDi 134bhp Blue Drive and the Premium 1.7-litre 134bhp Blue Drive, which delivers lowered CO2 emission figures of 119g/km.
A high level of safety equipment is included as standard with every i40 too. This includes Anti-Lock Braking System, Brake Assist System, Stability Management, Electronic Stability Program, Hills-start Assist Control and Emergency Stop Signal. The car also comes fitted with seven airbags.
Other standard features for the Hyundai i40 include 16 inch alloy wheels, leather steering wheel with built in audio controls, electric heated door mirrors with integrated LED indicators, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition.
The mid-level 'Style' trim also comes with cruise control, dual-zone climate control system, parking sensors on the front and the rear, rear view camera, and a touch screen satellite navigation system.
Upgrading to the top trim level - Premium - brings the addition of a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry, leather upholstery and LCD colour display on the instrument cluster. Optional extras on top of the Premium trim level include Lane Departure Warning, Smart Parking Assist, ventilated front seats and a heated leather steering wheel.
