Ford workers have gone on strike today following a dispute over pay and pensions.

Workers are protesting against Ford's decision to reduce levels of pay and change the company's pension scheme for new recruits.

The Unite union represents over 1,200 Ford employees and has claimed that 67% of workers voted in favour of industrial action last month.

The Ford factories in Halewood, Dagenham and Southampton have been affected by the strike.
