Ford has revealed the fuel economy figures for its new B-MAX.
The B-MAX will debut at March's Geneva Motor Show ahead of a UK sale launch in September, but Ford has made an advance announcement of the new model's fuel economy figures which it hopes will whet the appetite of the car buying public.
With the 1.0-litre 118bhp EcoBoost petrol engine, the B-MAX will return a fuel economy figure of 57.6mpg and emit 114g/km of CO2. The 1.6-litre TDCi diesel option will deliver 70.6mpg, and CO2 emissions of just 104g/km.
The B-MAX features auto Start/Stop, Ford's Eco Mode driver information system - designed to help drivers adopt a more economical driving style - a gear shift Indicator, and Smart Regenerative Charging, all of which Ford credits with making the figures possible.
The B-MAX is an innovative design, with the door-integrated B-pillars enabling wide open access for driver, passengers and luggage, as well as flexible seating options.
