Ford has introduced the sportiest model yet to its all-new Focus line-up, the Ford Focus Zetec S.

The new trim boasts a range of enhanced exterior features including sports suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear LED tail lamp, sports pedals and full body styling kit. Upgradable interior options include heated front seats and a red leather interior.

The model has been produced specifically for the UK market, and is available with a choice of four engines, most notably of which is a 1.6-litre 178bhp EcoBoost turbo-charged petrol. This engine has CO2 emissions of only 139g/km, and boasts a top speed of 138mph and an acceleration time from 0–62mph of just 7.9 seconds.

A 1.6-litre 113bhp TDCi, a 2.0-litre 161bhp TDCi and a 1.6-litre 123bhp Ti-VCT petrol make up the other three engines in the range.

The Zetec S is priced identically to the Titanium model, from £18,745, and at just £1,250 above the standard Zetec trim it represents excellent value - as the additional features would total over £1700 if purchased separately.
