Ford's acclaimed 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine is now available in both the C-MAX and the Grand C-MAX, the firm has announced.
The new models are on sale now, with prices starting from £17,695 for the Ford C-MAX and £19,795 for the Grand C-MAX.
Both models will be available with a choice of either the 99bhp or 123bhp versions of the innovative three-cylinder petrol unit. The C-MAX delivers 55.4mpg and 117g/km across both power outputs, while the Grand C-MAX achieves 54.3mpg and 119g/km CO2.
Ford has also introduced a new top-of-the-range Titanium X spec to coincide with the arrival of the new engines. Both C-MAX and Grand C-MAX Titanium X models come with a panoramic sunroof, xenon headlamps with jet wash, 17-inch alloys, partial leather seats, heated front seats and an electrically-operated driver's seat.
Both models also get Fords new SYNC in-car connectivity system. Emergency Assistance, Lane Keeping Aid and Active City Stop are available as options.
More than 7,500 Ford Focus EcoBoosts have been sold since launch and Ford claims that by 2015 more than half of the cars it sells in Europe will feature the engine.
