Kia have released the first images of its all-new Sorento model.

The pictures of the third generation Kia Sorento SUV show larger dimensions than its predecessor, with the new model both longer and wider, and with a lower profile.  The new design is 95mm longer than the previous Sorento, with a 80mm increase to the length of the wheelbase.  The height of the model has dropped by 15mm.
The new model was designed at Kia’s Namyang studio in Korea, where stylists claim influence was taken from the Cross GT concept showcased by Kia at last year’s Chicago Auto Show as well as accepting input from the brand’s Frankfurt and California design centres.
Kia’s ‘tiger nose’ grille is more upright on the new Sorento, flanked by swept-back headlamps.  A lower roofline and higher beltline give the new Sorento a distinctive look over the model it replaces.
The new Kia Sorento will make its European debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, with its UK sales launch planned for Spring 2015.
Soon-Nam Lee, Vice President of Overseas Marketing, Kia Motors Corp., said, “While we have retained the name based on the tremendous success of the current model, the all-new Sorento has been completely redesigned and re-engineered, and promises to surprise customers with its thoroughly updated styling, a host of new convenience and safety technologies, as well as enhanced space, driving comfort and handling response.”
