Supercar owners in Singapore can park their beloved motors in their sitting rooms thanks to an ingenious solution to the problem of urban parking.

The new 30-storey Hamilton Scotts building in the Orchard Road area of Singapore has a lift for cars which delivers the owner's motor to an 'en suite sky garage' next to their apartment.

And what's even more brilliant about this system is the way in which it works. You pull up outside the building in your Aventador or your 458 and press your thumb on a biometric scanner. The machine then reads your thumbprint as a security measure and sends your precious motor skywards.

How brilliant is that? You'd feel like James Bond every time you came back from Tesco.

The only downside is that the apartments themselves aren't cheap -- a two-car garage apartment will set you back £4.75m, and the more exclusive four-car pads sell for over £15m.

Oh yes, and there's another downside: the building in Singapore, so unless you live in Singapore, commuting will be a pain in the arse.
