Euro NCAP has revealed the latest crash test results on four new cars. The Renault Zoe, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Auris and Toyota RAV4 all earned the maximum five stars in the tests.

The Toyota RAV4 and the Renault Zoe both achieved an overall rating of 89 per cent, while the Auris scored 92 per cent and the Octavia scored 93 per cent.

The Octavia was singled out for particular praise thanks to its active safety features, receiving Euro NCAP Advanced Rewards for its Multi Collision Brake, Crew Protection Assist, Lane Assistant and Front Assist systems.

Euro NCAP has also announced that from this year it will provide information on the most widely available child seats for each model, with information on the installation of child seats provided with each new test.
