The first edition of the Trade Van Driver (TVD) Awards has awarded the Citroen Nemo the ‘Best City Van’ title.

The panel of judges who voted the Nemo ‘best van’ in the TVD Awards gave a glowing commendation to manufacturer Citroën, who they said “offers the very best vehicles and services to retain and attract van buyers.”

“The cheeky Nemo is ideal for city-based operations. It has a small footprint to winkle into those tight corners, but is capable of carrying up to 2.8m3 of cargo and returns amazing fuel economy figures. Add to this the expert back-up from Citroën’s ever-increasing number of Business Centres and you have a worthy winner,” stated the TVD Awards judges.

Citroen provided details of the Nemo Enterprise which includes a nearside sliding door, Bluetooth, air conditioning and rear park sensors alongside standard remote central locking and electric windows.

Commenting on the award, Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager said:

“The Nemo’s suitability for urban operation has been recognised with its success in winning the Best City Van accolade in the TVD Awards. The Nemo is perfect for a wide variety of business applications and is sufficiently versatile to provide fuel-efficient, low-cost business transport for all types of operations, be they in or out of town.”

Citroën added that the van measures less than 4.0m long and offers a payload of up to 660kg.

UK van buyers interested in this vehicle will be able to choose from three trim levels, a choice of Euro 5 petrol or diesel engines capable of delivering combined fuel economy of up to 68.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 109 g/km.

British buyers interested in purchasing a van should keep an eye on the new award-winning Nemo from Citroën which is on sale from £9,265 + VAT and offers ‘truly excellent value for money’ – according to manufacturer Citroën.
