Citroen has introduced a range of updates for the DS3 and DS3 Cabrio, including new engines and revised styling.
Available from July onwards, the new DS3 will feature new state-of-the-art headlamps inspired by the Numero 9 and Wild Rubis concept cars. The lights use LED and Xenon technology, offering improved lighting performance and greater energy efficiency -- Citroen claims a 75 per cent reduction in energy consumption in full-beam mode and a 35 per cent reduction in dipped-beam.
In addition to this, the new car will be available with a new laser-etched dashboard strip, a screen-printed rear window, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and two new colour options: Belle-Ile Blue and Pearl White.
The updated DS3 will also be available with new Euro-6 compliant diesel and petrol engines, with improved economy and emissions. The BlueHDi 120 will return 78mpg and emit 94g/km of CO2, while the BlueHDi 100 will deliver 94mpg and return just 79g/km of CO2.
There's also a new petrol engine, the PureTech e-VTi 82 ETG, which will deliver 69mpg and 95g/km of CO2.
