Chevrolet has released the first picture of the five door hatchback Cruze. The sharper and more practical model is due to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Cruze hatchback concept car was unveiled in September at the Paris Motor Show. The saloon version has been available since 2009. There are few differences between the concept car and this Cruze that is due to go into production.
Amongst the styling improvements are the sweeping roofline that gives this new Cruze sportier look, along with short front and rear overhangs. The hatch adds to the loading space; however Chevrolet is yet to release any figures.
There are a number of engines on offer; amongst these is a 2.0 litre diesel from the Orlando MPV that is capable of 161bhp and 360Nm of torque.
The Cruze hatchback is due to be released this summer along with other new Chevrolet models, including the Captiva, Aveo, Camaro and Orlando. Prices are yet to be confirmed.
