Mercedes have confirmed the pricing and specification details for its latest C-Class Estate ahead of its UK sales launch in September.
Prices will start from £28,055 for the C200SE, the entry level model powered by a 184bhp petrol engine emitting 128g/km of CO2. This price represents an extra £1,200 compared to the saloon equivalent. The C200 has a choice of six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic gearboxes.
The two other engine options on launch will be the 220BlueTEC and 250BlueTEC. These diesel-powered engines produce 170bhp and 204bhp respectively, while emitting 108 and 117g/km of CO2. The 220BlueTEC starts from £30,565, while the 250BlueTEC starts from £33,220. These will be joined by a 200BlueTEC and a 300BlueTEC hybrid option later in the year.
With each engine comes a choice of three specification levels - SE, Sport, and AMG.
In addition, Mercedes will be offering a number optional extra packages. The £995 Executive Package adds Garmin Map Pilot SatNav, heated seats, and chrome roof rails. For £1,595 the Premium Package adds a panoramic glass sunroof, Keyless-Go, ambient lighting, and electric seat memory function, while the £2,795 Premium Plus Package includes all this plus a Burmester suround sound system and COMAND Online. The £1,495 Driver Assist Package adds Blind Spot Assist, Lane-Keeping Assist, and the Mercedes Pre-Safe anticapatory safety system. Driver Assist Package is not available on SE models. The AirMATIC Agility Package allows the suspension to self-level, be raised by 25mm when needed, for an extra £895, while the Air-Balance Package adds a glovebox-housed cannister which diffuses a fragrance around the passenger cabin.
