Bentley has revealed the full details on its fastest ever car -- the Continental GT Speed.

The Continental GT Speed is powered by an improved version of Bentley's 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine which churns out 616bhp. 0-62mph takes 4.2 seconds and the GT Speed will crack the ton in 9.0.

Despite the power boost, the new GT Speed will manage 19.5mpg thanks to an energy recuperation system and the replacement of the old six-speed auto 'box with an eight-speed transmission.

Bentley has also tweaked the GT Speed's chassis, and the new car sits 10mm closer to the road than the standard model.

The GT Speed is distinguished from lesser models in the Continental range by virtue of its unique 21-inch wheels, rifled exhausts and dark grille. On the inside, you get diamond-patterned leather, drilled alloy sports pedals, and a sports gear lever with a knurled finish.

The new Bentley Continental GT Speed is available to order now priced at £151,100.
