Monterey Auto Week will host the limited edition Bentley which is the fastest accelerating car they have ever produced.
Bentley’s latest offering is based on the Continental GT3 which is driven by a 4.0 litre V8 engine; the new limited edition model will produce 572 bhp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It will accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds partly thanks to the engineers shedding 220 lbs from its weight.
300 examples will be built for the worldwide market, all built by hand in Crewe and finished by the company’s motorsport department.
Christophe Georges who is President and CEO of Bentley Motors, Inc. said “Pebble Beach is the perfect location for the debut of the rarest and most dynamic Continental GT, the GT3-R. It is a testament to the Bentley trademarks of luxury and performance and we’re excited to share it with the friends of Bentley during this gathering of fine automobiles.”
The exterior features glacier white paint work with carbon fibre accents to the front splitter and fixed rear wing which is fitted to the lid of the boot. The new wheels will be finished in gloss black and measure 21’’. The engine block will also come with a carbon fibre cover in keeping with the exterior character.
