Audi has introduced a new 'Amplified Black' specification across its TT Coupe and Roadster range.
Evidently discontent with the standard Black Edition TT which is already part of the model line-up, Audi asked -- like Nigel Tufnell in 'This Is Spinal Tap' -- "How much more black could this be?" Well, the answer is this more black.
The Amplified Black package adds £700 to the price of the equivalent Black Edition model and comes with a range of new paint finishes and options.
Four new paint finishes are on offer, including Glacier White, Misano Red, Daytona Grey and Samoa Orange. The Amplified Black Package also includes a black front spoiler, black door mirrors, a black TT RS-style rear spoiler and black 19-inch 'Rotor' design alloy wheels.
Two engines are available in conjunction with the Amplified Black Package -- the 208bhp 2.0-litre TFSI petrol and the 168bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel. The petrol model is available in both front- and Quattro all-wheel drive guises, while the diesel gets all-wheel drive as standard. Both manual and S tronic transmissions are on offer.
The Audi TT Amplified Black Edition is available now, with price starting from £31,365 for the 2.0-litre petrol with a manual gearbox, rising to £36,360 for the diesel with the S tronic transmission.
