Alfa Romeo has added a new trim level to both its MiTo and Giulietta ranges.

Alfa claims that the new range-topping Sportiva trim offers "sporty looks allied to fuel efficiency and low emissions."

The MiTo Sportiva is positioned in the range above the current Distinctive model and adds £1,500 worth of upgrades for an extra £750. 18-inch Quadrifoglio Verde alloys, sports kick plates and a host of Sportiva badges are all included as standard and, on the inside, the Sportiva gets a black and green interior with a black leather steering wheel and handbrake, and Alcantara sport seat upholstery stitched together with green thread.

The Giulietta Sportiva, on the other hand, fits into the range above the current Veloce model. Standard equipment includes 18-inch dark titanium alloy wheels, red Brembo brake callipers, sports leather upholstery, sports kick plates, and a rear armrest with storage compartment.

The MiTo Sportiva is available with three engines: the 875cc TwinAir, the 1.4 TB MultiAir and the 1.6 JTDm-2. The Giulietta, on the other hand, is offered with a choice of three engines including the 1.6JTDm-2.

Prices for the new MiTo Sportiva start from £16,100, while the Giulietta Sportiva is priced from £23,110.
