Citroen are set to release their new range of Berlingo and Dispatch vans in April this year, but what can we expect from these vehicles?
“Our CV Show display demonstrates Citroën’s advanced technology, which results in some of the most fuel efficient and lowest emission vehicles available in the UK,” said Scott Michael, Citroën’s Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager.
Michael added that today’s Citroën LCV range offers UK businesses an unrivalled choice of vehicles, enhanced traction vans, platform cabs, crew vans, chassis cabs, chassis crew cabs and specialist bodied vehicles.
Berlingo
Drivers are set to enjoy a more powerful presence on the road in the new Berlingo, as the front bumper will allow a wider air intake. As part of a more aerodynamic design, the door mirrors will help to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
The vehicle’s interior remains spacious and practical due to its load capacity of 4.1 m3, sliding side doors and 60/40 rear doors which open to 180°. Additionally, the Extenso folding passenger bench seat for two - standard on LX and Enterprise models - will add genuine versatility to the vehicle. These features make the Citroen Berlingo both robust and functional at the same time.
The new Berlingo is offered with one petrol and four diesel powertrains. Also, thanks to the HDi and e-HDi versions, drivers can set a permanent maximum speed from a choice of four available limits.
Dispatch
Like the Citroen Berlingo, the Dispatch also has enhanced equipment in the shape of a new front end and a wide chrome grille that extends to the headlights. The new Dispatch will be available with hill-start assist and the same fixed speed limiter functionality as the Berlingo.
On top of this, Grip Control will be available for the first time, with the driver choosing one of four modes - normal, all-terrain, snow or sand.
