Vauxhall Meriva Overview

The current Meriva is available with a choice of 3 petrol engines or 4 diesel engines with the stop/start function being added in 2011.

The Meriva’s spacious cabin adds to the car’s practicality. This is the perfect car for a small family with young children it is an easy and competent car to drive.

Background

The Vauxhall Meriva was first put into production in 2002. The first generation Meriva was known as the Meriva A which was based on the third generation Corsa. It was originally offered with 3 petrol engines and 1 diesel. It also received a facelift in 2006 where the front and rear end were revised as well as the introduction of 3 more engine options.

In 2010 the Meriva A was replaced by the Meriva B model which is based on the fourth generation Corsa. It is much bigger than the first generation Meriva. It is the first and only car in its class to have rear-hinged rear doors.

Vauxhall has designed the Meriva to deliver a good spirited ride. The car is no hot hatch, but it can deliver a brisk, fun ride.
