Toyota IQ Overview

The current Toyota iQ offers a choice of four petrol engines and a diesel, however only the petrol engines are available in the UK.  Depending on the engine the iQ’s fuel economy can range from 58.0 mpg to 64.0 mpg.

The Toyota iQ offers the practicality of a decent supermini with a chassis shorter than that of a city car in an extremely clever package. It is one of the most radical cars that Toyota has ever produced.

Background

The iQ was produced with fuel consumption very much in mind. It is purpose built for city use, incorporating the ability to manoeuvre, environmental friendliness and maximised interior space.

Since its production began in 2008 it achieved a 5 star rating in its EuroNCAP crash testing, with an overall score of 79%.

Summary

It looks funky, modern and stylish and offers the ability to squeeze into tight parking spots - essential for urban motoring in the 21st century. The Toyota iQ also offers the comfort and refinement of a bigger car, is well equipped and cheap to run.
