The VW group offers another badge-engineered up! with the Skoda Citigo. It's basically the same as the VW -- cheap, practical and economical -- although it's nowhere near as desirable.

Latest Skoda Citigo Car Reviews:
Let's cut to the chase: the Skoda Citigo is a brilliant car. Not only is it cheap, good to drive, economical, well-made and practical, but it's cheaper than the nearly identical VW up! and SEAT Mii.
Skoda Citigo Overview
The Skoda Citigo comes with the same 1.0-litre three-cylinder engines as VW's up!, developing either 59bhp or 74bhp. The lower-powered engine is fine around town but struggles a bit on the open road. The ride is firm but comfortable, making the Citigo a relaxing place to be, although some road and engine noise becomes apparent at high speeds.
The gearchange is nice and crisp and the steering feels well-weighted, making the Citigo both easy and fun to manoeuvre around town.
The interior is a little basic -- it's not as nice as the VW's funky cabin -- but the whole thing feels like a quality product. Both head- and leg-room are good in the front and back and the boot is a good size for a car this tiny.
The Citigo comes with a five star Euro NCAP rating.
Background
The up! on which the Citigo was is based was unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. This is Skoda's first foray into the ever-growing city car sector and, as such, it has no direct predecessor.
Summary
There is very little to choose between the up!, Mii and Citigo and, to be honest, you're best off buying whichever car you can get for the cheapest. If you don't mind the badge, there is no good reason not to buy the Citigo.
