Rolls-Royce Ghost Car Reviews

The Rolls Royce Ghost is a large luxury saloon that provides a very exciting driving experience for anyone lucky enough to own one. The Ghost was introduced by Rolls-Royce as a more realistic car in comparison with the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Whilst the Ghost is a little more modest when it comes to price, it is by no means cheap.

Rolls-Royce Ghost Overview

The Ghost comes with a 6.6 litre twin-turbo V12 engine which allows it to reach 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds, and gives it a limited top speed of 155 mph. The Ghost’s offers a fuel economy of around 20 miles per gallon however if you can consider buying this car your probably not on a tight budget.

Background

The Rolls-Royce Ghost was first announced in 2009 at the Auto Shanghai show and was officially unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Ghost was then put into production in 2010.

The Ghost is built upon a modified F01 platform which is also used for the BMW’s latest 7-series, a further 20 percent of the Ghost’s parts are said to be shared with the BMW 7-series.

If the Ghost is not big enough, there is also an Extended Wheel Drive version available which offers more rear space.

The Rolls Royce Ghost is not expected to be updated for a good couple of years which hardly comes as a surprise seeing as it is of such a high build quality.

Summary

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is like the Phantoms smaller, but more than capable brother. It is cheaper than the Phantom and was introduced to the market to compete against cars such as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
