Peugeot ION Overview
The iOn performs well around urban areas with decent road grip and accomplished handling. Ride quality is generally good, with most bumps and road imperfections being absorbed easily by the suspension. However, performance is not as good outside of town at higher speeds and handling becomes more difficult.
The Peugeot iOn delivers a very refined ride around town with a virtually silent engine, although the whirring from the motor increases at higher speeds and wind noise can be quite intrusive.
The interior of the iOn is fairly spacious with a high driving position that provides good visibility. Headroom is plentiful throughout the cabin and legroom is good in the front seats.
Air conditioning and electric windows come as standard with the Peugeot iOn, as does a CD player with MP3 connectivity.
Background
The Peugeot iOn was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009.
The model went on sale in late 2010, as did its sister car the Citroen C-Zero.

Summary
The Peugeot iOn is an accomplished city car that boasts zero emissions and incredibly low running costs. It delivers a refined ride in urban areas, however, long trips are totally out of the question due to the car’s limited range.
