Mercedes-Benz B Class Car Reviews

The Mercedes B-Class is a medium-sized family car, which could also be considered as a small MPV. The car is not blessed with brilliant aesthetics, and the exterior doesn’t look great. Inside the Mercedes B-Class, however, the fit and finish is superior to all other brands. The vehicle offers good room for passengers and has been designed in such a way to maximise the cabin space.

Mercedes-Benz B Class Overview

The B-Class is a competent family car. It provides sufficient cabin space and comfort to accommodate the average family. The car’s boot is also large enough to accommodate some practical family items.

Due to a high seating position, access to the B-Class is excellent. The doors provide an adequate sized opening and most passengers should have no problems accessing the car’s cabin.

Many of the most useful features are offered as cost options, such as the foldable and removable front passenger seat. The diesel-powered variants are the most economically viable options. The car is a 5-door hatchback and sports a 2.0 litre engine.

Background

The Mercedes B-Class was first produced in 2005 as a 5-door hatchback.

The model was available with a range of engines, many of which had good fuel economy and low emissions, particularly the diesel variants. 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions were available.

The B-Class was built with safety in mind and was also a very reliable car, with some of the best breakdown statistics in its class.

The model was given a facelift in 2008 with a restyled exterior, and the introduction of a wider range of trims and upholsteries.

The second generation of the B-Class has been in production since 2011 and features upgraded engine options.

Summary

The Mercedes B-Class makes for a good family car, with a spacious and comfortable interior, delivering good fuel economy.
