Honda CR-Z Overview

The CR-Z features a start/stop system and delivers a relatively smooth and refined ride, although road noise can be a little loud at higher speeds.

The cabin is very attractive, with a stylish display and easy-to-use controls. Seats in the CR-Z are supportive and comfortable, and can be adjusted to suit the needs of the driver. Space is generous in the front with good head and legroom. The back seats, however, are severely lacking in space and would not be suitable for long journeys. The boot is a nice size and can be made larger by folding the rear seats flat.

The Honda CR-Z comes with an excellent level of technology and equipment. Climate control, an auxiliary socket and electric windows are all standard features, even with entry level models.

Background

The Honda CR-Z was first introduced as a concept car in 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show. It followed the unveiling of two other hybrid concept cars by Honda – the Honda Remix in 2006 and the Honda Small Hybrid Sports in 2007.

A revised CR-Z concept was displayed in 2009 before the production version was unveiled in 2010 at the North American International Auto Show.

The Honda CR-Z is fitted with a 1.5 litre petrol engine and an electric motor, to reduce emissions and deliver impressive fuel economy.

Summary

The Honda CR-Z is a stylish coupe with a technology-rich interior. It boasts excellent handling and fuel economy.
