Ferrari is using the Bologna Motor Show to unveil its new sports berlinetta, the 599XX. Ferrari has released a package of performance-enhancing features to the non-homologated sports car.
The 599XX now features an active aerodynamic package, new Pirelli tyres and improved chassis dynamics. Ferrari's engineers have also managed to shed 35kg of weight from the new car and have boosted the power output to 740bhp.
The new aerodynamics package includes a modified front splitter and rear diffuser. An active rear wing is also featured which rotates electronically to adjust downforce depending on the speed at which the car is travelling and the manoeuvre being carried out. At 120mph, the downforce created is 330kg with the flaps open and 440kg with them closed.
Also on Ferrari's stand at the Bologna Motor Show will be the 458 Challenge, a racing version of the 458 Italia, alongside a 458 Italia GT2 racer and the F10 which Fernando Alonso used to compete in the 2010 Formula One season.
The Bologna Motor Show runs from 3rd to 11th December.
